On May 29, at the 4th session of the 9th Council of China Pesticide Industry Association held in Yunnan, the two code rules for pesticide products (Draft for comments) drafted by China Pesticide Industry Association was released to the public. The rules are applicable to the information processing and exchange of commodities (goods, trade items, assets, locations, etc.) in each link of pesticide logistics supply chain.

It is understood that the QR code of pesticide commodity consists of 7 information elements:

One is the enterprise code, which comes from the enterprise code in the pesticide production approval certificate number, and is composed of 5 digits;

The second is the commodity code, which is assigned by the enterprise to a specific object classification code, which is composed of four digits, and the numbering rules are formulated by the enterprise;

The third is the packing indicator. The packing level 0 is the single grade, usually the default is 0, 1-9 is the packing level;

The fourth is the ingredient code, which is represented by 5 English letters. The first two digits indicate the major categories of pesticide, and the last three digits indicate the specific effective ingredients. The component code of the compound preparation is replaced by the component code with the highest content. When the content is the same, it is determined by the order of the English common name;

The fifth is the dosage form code, which is composed of 3-digit abbreviation of pesticide dosage form. When the English abbreviation is 3 letters, the code is directly made in English, and when the English abbreviation is 2 letters, the English abbreviation + 0;

Six is the toxicity code, which is represented by one decimal digit. One indicates severe toxicity, two indicates high toxicity, three indicates moderate toxicity, four indicates low toxicity, and five indicates micro toxicity. Medium toxicity (high toxicity of the original medicine) is marked as medium toxicity, while low toxicity (high toxicity of the original medicine) is marked as low toxicity;

Seven is the random serial number of goods. The serial number contains a continuous number, and only numbers are included in the continuous number, which is represented by 15 decimal digits.

Li Zhonghua, Secretary General of China Pesticide Industry Association, said that the two-dimensional code of pesticide commodity provides the unique identification of pesticide commodity object in China, and one two-dimensional code only identifies one entity object. In addition, the two-dimensional code of pesticide commodity has the characteristics of simplicity, scalability, confidentiality and security.
