Recently, the State Administration of market supervision and the State Standardization Administration of China jointly issued two national standards, general principles for pesticide packaging and pesticide emulsion packaging, which were drafted and revised by Shenyang Chemical Research Institute.

Two national standards, general principles for pesticide packaging and pesticide emulsion packaging, are compulsory national standards formulated during the sixth Five Year Plan period. They are an important part of the pesticide standard system, a general type standard for packaging of emulsifiable pesticide and other pesticide formulations, and have a normative effect on all pesticide formulations. This is the fourth revision of the national standard of general principles of pesticide packaging and the third revision of the national standard of pesticide emulsion packaging. New requirements for preventing pesticide packaging waste from polluting soil are added to the standard text. These two newly issued and implemented compulsory national standards will play an important role in protecting the rural ecological environment, safeguarding human health and environmental safety.

Shenyang Chemical Institute is a affiliated unit of the national pesticide Standardization Technical Committee and the national dye Standardization Technical Committee. It has the OECD GLP qualification laboratory in the field of pesticide testing and evaluation, as well as the dye testing laboratory approved by the national accreditation and Supervision Commission and the National Accreditation Commission. It is responsible for organizing and participating in the formulation of national and industrial standards for pesticides and dyes.
